Overview

Collective Power for Reproductive Justice (collectivepowerrj.org) is a national reproductive rights and justice organization dedicated to educating, mentoring, and inspiring new generations of advocates, leaders, and supporters. Combining activism, organizing, leadership training, and reproductive rights movement building, Collective Power promotes an inclusive agenda that advances reproductive rights and health, and social and economic justice. Collective Power is a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE (tsne.org).

Responsibilities

The intern supports operations and campus programming within the Five Colleges.  They also support fundraising activities, data entry, and provide staffing for local events.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assist with office tasks such as ordering supplies, checking campus mail, and organizing files and materials
  • Assist with donation receipts, thank-you notes to donors, and data entry in the CiviCRM database
  • Support outgoing mailings
  • Provide onsite support at local events, including campus fairs, panels, and conferences; Collective Power fundraising events; the annual conference; and other public events.
  • Assist staff with program outreach

Qualifications

We will consider exceptional candidates who demonstrate a strong combination of the specific qualifications and skills described below.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google workspace.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfort asking for more instruction from supervisor when needed.
  • Ability to work across difference.
  • Have existing (and ability to build) networks in the Five Colleges; familiarity with local academic programs and student organizations.
  • Interest and knowledge of reproductive and social justice issues.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to:

  • Handle, or feel objects, tools or controls;
  • Reach; traverse; sit (usually for longer periods of time); occasionally ascend/descend; and position self (to) move;
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds;
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate;
  • Job is not subject to significant occupational or environmental hazards;
  • Likelihood of personal injury would be relatively slight;
  • Environmental and work hazards are not present to a measurable degree.

Compensation and Benefits

 

Location: Work will be primarily performed hyrbrid between their own location in the United States and the CPRJ office. 

Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $15.00 per hour.
