FriendshipWorks

FriendshipWorks will be launching a search for a new Executive Director. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable elders, helping them to build connections and improve their quality of life. The Executive Director (ED) will play a critical role in shaping the future of FriendshipWorks, guiding strategic initiatives, building relationships with community stakeholders, and inspiring staff and volunteers. The new ED will champion the organization’s values of compassion, inclusion, and respect, while leading innovative programs that enhance elder support in a changing social landscape.

Founded in 1984, the mission of FriendshipWorks is to reduce social isolation, enhance the quality of life, and preserve the dignity of older adults in Greater Boston. FriendshipWorks accomplishes this by recruiting and training volunteers of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds who provide friendship, advocacy, education, assistance, and emotional support.

Interested candidates can contact TSNE Manager of Executive Search, Jodi Dowling (jdowling@tsne.org) with an early email inquiry, or submit a resume via TSNE’s Nonprofit Job Portal. A full position description will be released in the following weeks.
