Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition (MFFC)(mattapanfoodandfit.org) grew out of an effort to draw on the wonderful ethnic and cultural diversity of the Mattapan community to promote a healthy living environment, with a focus on access to healthy foods and the promotion of physical fitness for all ages. Positive changes in these areas complement other efforts to decrease health problems like diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other health conditions that plague our community. MFFC is a fiscally sponsored organization of TSNE (tsne.org).
Mission Statement: To promote health and healthy behaviors by improving the nutritional and physical activity environments for Mattapan residents and residents of surrounding communities.
The Development Director will be a part of an exciting, growing non-profit organization and help MFFC with finance, development, programs, and overall sustainability. They will work to create structure and streamline MFFC’s processes and continue building on our fundraising efforts. The Development Director will thrive on fostering relationships with funders, partners, and advisory members, and most importantly the residents of Mattapan. Will be responsible for building and maintaining various fundraising systems and tools; writing and producing content related to development for distribution; assisting in the creation and implementation of the organizational budget, overall program management and develop processes to grow the organization, and have a passion for inspiring generosity for the betterment of improving the health of Mattapan residents. Sets the organization’s development strategy and implementation, which includes grants, individual donors, events and corporate sponsorship revenue streams. Serves on the admin team with the Executive Director.

Regarding COVID-19: TSNE considers the health and safety of our employees of the utmost importance, and due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and subject to your state and local laws, our policy requires that all employees performing in-person work at a TSNE designated office are fully vaccinated. Compensation and Benefits
Location: Work will be primarily performed Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition,1613 Blue Hill Ave, Suite 307, Mattapan, MA 02126. Hybrid - 37.5 hours/week may include some evenings and weekends.
Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $57,000/year and is commensurate with experience.
