Community Boat Building’s (https://www.communityboatbuilding.org/) mission is to serve Boston’s low-income students by bringing real world experience and academic skills together to stimulate excitement for learning among low-income students in Boston Public Schools through boat building and coastal experiences. Community Boat Building is a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE.
Our summer program supports that mission by opening CBB programming to other constituencies. CBB’s summer programs are open to all students aged 7-14 on a fee-for-service basis. Participants sign up for one-week experiences during the day that include a wooden boat building project, rowing on Fort Point Channel, and outdoor games. CBB plans to host 4 weeks of programming in the summer of 2022. Community Boat Building is a fiscally sponsored organization of TSNE (www.tsne.org).
