Overview

The Public Finance Initiative (PFI), a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE, works with communities and their stakeholders to develop research, education, and technical assistance programs that center the values of equity, sustainability, and inclusive growth in the domain of public finance.

 

TSNE (formerly Third Sector New England) (tsne.org) is a management support organization that partners every year with hundreds of nonprofits, foundations, community-based groups, and others working for social change. Our mission is to provide information and services to build the knowledge, power, and effectiveness of individuals, organizations, and groups that engage people in community and public life. The ultimate intention of TSNE’s work is to create a more just and democratic society.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Coordinator will provide general administrative and operational support to the Executive Director and members of the program team.  

  • Develop resources including e-library, templates and recordings of meetings;
  • Assist with planning and documentation of work activities;
  • Provide meeting support such as coordinating logistics, email invitations, document creation and editing, note-taking and follow-up tasks;
  • Administrative and Operational Support;
  • Perform general secretarial and clerical functions;
  • Maintain filing system;
  • Develop staff meeting minutes;
  • Email and fax information/documents in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Maintain staff and partner directory;
  • Manage mailing lists;
  • Prepare meeting documents;
  • Contact members, volunteers and others to invite to meetings and events;
  • Support events and meeting organization;
  • Support the executive director with expense, contract, invoicing, and budget administration. 

Complete other tasks and projects related to the job, as needed.

Qualifications

We will consider exceptional candidates who demonstrate a strong combination of the specific qualifications and skills described below.

  • College degree preferred and/or at least one year of work experience.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and Access PowerPoint.
  • Some familiarity with survey tools and google drive.
  • Able to learn new computer programs with minimal direction.
  • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can manage and organize projects effectively.
  • Has ability to work independently, adapt to change, and handle multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to:

  • Handle, or feel objects, tools or controls;

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate;
  • Job is not subject to significant occupational or environmental hazards;

  • Environmental and work hazards are not present to a measurable degree.

Compensation and Benefits

 

Location: Work will be primarily performed remotely from your home office.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $20.00 and is commensurate with experience.

Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits.
