Future Chefs (www.futurechefs.net) prepares Boston teens to leave high school ready for quality employment and post-secondary education. With a focus on youth development, Future Chefs provides culinary training and authentic work-based learning to prepare teens with the hard skills they will need to succeed in the culinary industry, and the job readiness skills to succeed in any field. Future Chefs’ model is based on the belief that every student is unique and flourishes in settings that provide high expectations, opportunities for growth, and positive interactions with adults.

This is a new position, as Future Chefs grows its development department. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Major Gifts will build a portfolio to make direct solicitations for significant contributions, and design/execute a strategy to increase individual fundraising and engagement in order to support Future Chefs’ growth in programs and the current capital campaign. This person will also prepare the Executive Director for individual solicitations. The person hired will participate in shaping the strategy and future direction of the development department. The Director of Major Gifts will also support building an Advisory Council that is effective and representative of the community we serve.
