FRESH New London is a fiscally-sponsored project of TSNE (www.tsne.org).

Responsibilities

The Office Assistant will work with the Executive Director to ensure that administrative tasks are completed in a timeline and efficient manner. The majority of the work will take place at the FRESH office in New London.

 

  • Regularly check email, mail and phone messages, pass along information to other staff as needed and reply;
  • Process deposits and mail them to TSNE;
  • Track individual donations and other information on FRESH’s member database;
  • Submit invoices and all relevant paperwork;
  • Track program data (number of volunteers, CSA pickups, pounds of food grown, youth participants, etc);
  • Draft and send regular updates to community gardeners;
  • Draft and send monthly newsletters to FRESH members (in collaboration with other staff);
  • Assist other staff with administrative duties as needed;
  • Assist with “growing food” and “community connection” work as needed.

This position is temporary, 10-15 hours per week, and is anticipated to run September through December 2020.

  • Familiarity with FRESH’s mission, vision and values 
  • Experience with Google Suite and other online communication and administrative tools
  • Highly organized 
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, while completing tasks that support a team
