  • Overview

    Integrity Initiatives International (III) (www.integrityinitiatives.org) is an international NGO focused on combatting grand corruption by strengthening the enforcement of criminal laws against corrupt leaders, also known as kleptocrats. III works to end grand corruption by: supporting national measures, such as the recently created High Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine; promoting understanding of the close connection between human rights and anti-corruption organizations; forging a network of young people dedicated to combatting corruption in their own countries and around the world; and catalyzing a campaign to establish an International Anti-Corruption Court (“IACC”).

    III is a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE MissionWorks.

    Responsibilities

    The Chief of Staff reports directly to the Chair of III, United States Federal District Judge Mark Wolf, and to the Board of Directors. III’s Board of Directors is comprised of 21 highly distinguished individuals. The Chief of Staff will participate in the full range of III’s activities including:

    • Executing decisions made by the Board of Directors;
    • Assisting in the strategic planning process of the organization;
    • Researching matters concerning corruption and international law;
    • Writing memoranda;
    • Coordinating volunteers and interns;
    • Scheduling and participating in meetings,
    • Organizing events;
    • Supporting fundraising efforts;
    • Communicating with third parties;
    • Developing communications materials such as III’s brochure, website, and Facebook page;
    • Reporting on III’s federal grant from the National Endowment for Democracy;
    • Maintaining III’s electronic and paper records;
    • and other general administrative duties as assigned by the Chair.

    In particular, the Chief of Staff will play an important role in the campaign for the IACC. In January 2019, Colombia called on the United Nations to establish the IACC and to discuss doing so at the 2021 Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly being convened to combat corruption. Since then, Peru has signed a Joint Presidential Declaration calling for further study of the IACC; the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime included further study of the IACC in its June 2019 Outcome Statement; Colombia and Peru hosted a side event at the United Nations General Assembly to discuss the establishment of the IACC; and Colombia convened a regional conference to discuss grand corruption in Latin America. The 2021 Special Session will be a significant milestone in the campaign to establish the IACC. As such, III is seeking a Chief of Staff who is able to commit to work for at least 18 months.
