    Responsibilities

    The Operations Coordinator (OC) is responsible for the overall coordination of services for a portfolio of fiscally sponsored client organizations that are quasi-independent nonprofits.  Working closely with members of the Finance team, the OC will coordinate services for each organization in regards to intake, finance, consulting, human resources, legal and organizational development; providing advice and effective and courteous operational support that helps clients achieve long-term program goals.

     

    Fiscal Sponsorship

    • Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of client organizations;
    • Work regularly with representatives in Finance, Accounting, Legal, HR and Consulting/Executive Transition to provide seamless and integrated services to clients;
    • Using evaluation tools, identify requirements and goals of each project and coordinate advice about staffing, expenses/cost recovery and governance;
    • Train and help client organizations on the use of operational and reporting tools to support them in their programmatic and operational planning;
    • Coordinate with a member of the Finance team to oversee fiscal/grants management as it relates to the achievement of client’s long-term program goals. Work closely with Intake department, Legal Team, Accounting and HR to successfully on and off-board client organizations;
    • Coordinate the procurement of IT hardware and software through TSNE MW suppliers.

    Grants Management

    • Assist with the grant proposal review and submission process;
    • Communicate with funding organizations as needed;
    • Collaborating with a member of the Finance team, oversee fiscal/grants management as it relates to the achievement of client’s long-term program goals;
    • Coordinate regular check-ins with client organizations and the Finance Manager to assess and update the organization’s programmatic and financial progress.

    Other

    • Undertake other tasks that are consistent with the position, as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Desired Qualifications and Skills

    • Two or more years of nonprofit office experience;
    • Two or more years of accounting experience;
    • Experience with managing budgets preferred;
    • Prior experience working in grants management helpful;
    • Strong project management skills;
    • Outstanding relationship management skills with significant experience in building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders;
    • Demonstrate a high level of discretion;
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite and enterprise information systems such as Salesforce;
    • Ability to pay close and accurate attention to detail;
    • Demonstrated skill in providing a high level of service to multiple clients, ideally in a nonprofit context;
    • Experience working as part of a team delivering coordinated services highly desirable;
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated diplomacy and tact;
    • Strong track record working flexibly in demanding situations;
    • Good creative problem-solving skills;
    • Ability to manage multiple timelines and reporting processes;
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities;
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment;
    • Commitment to the work of social and economic justice organizations.
