A Way Home Washington (AWHWA), a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE MissionWorks, is mission-driven to prevent and end youth and young adult homelessness across Washington state. AWHWA partners with the state Office of Homeless Youth, philanthropic foundations, advocates, and service providers who support over 13,000 unaccompanied young people experiencing homelessness in Washington. AWHWA leads and coordinates these stakeholders as we work collectively to build a statewide system so that local communities can respond to youth and young adult homelessness in their areas.
AWHWA was excited to launch the Anchor Community Initiative (ACI) in 2018 as a central pillar of our mission and activities. The ACI will help the first four communities in Washington state end youth and young adult homelessness by 2022. Success will include creating clear, believable proof points that demonstrate it is possible to solve this problem; learning what a sustainable system to end youth homelessness looks like; and generating progress and new action throughout Washington. Most importantly, young people struggling with homelessness will know our state values their wellbeing and is able to help them find safety and stability. The ultimate vision is that ACI will include 12-15 communities. We are currently funded for the first cohort of four communities.
Reporting to the ACI Project Director, the ACI Administrative Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of administrative support for the entire organization, with specific support provided to the ACI. Key responsibilities will include complex scheduling and coordination of meetings and travel, as well as tracking and responding to assigned email correspondence. This position also includes project tracking and task management. The role engages with a diverse group of important external partners, as well as the entire internal AWHWA team.
The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 annually.
